So what is Hypnobirthing?
If you are anything like me, you may find the word 'Hypnobirthing' off putting or maybe you have heard people talk about it and just don't understand what it is. To some, it conjures up images of swaying pocket watches, being in a trance or people barking like dogs making fools of themselves for the entertainment factor or deep chanting naked in a forest in the middle of nowhere. It is actually none of the above. Hypnobirthing is purely understanding the physiology of labour and birth, dealing with any fears in your pregnancy so they don't hinder your birth and learning a whole host of coping mechanisms so you and your birth partner can discover the joy and magic of birth, and actually look forward to it. It is logical, scientific and a great way to encourage relaxing in pregnancy and feeling prepared and confident during your birth and beyond.

How much are Hypnobirthing courses?
In an ideal world, hypnobirthing would be available to all, but only half of expectant parents attend any form of antenatal education and hospitals are cutting antenatal education more and more, so fewer people feel confident approaching birth and beyond. It is important to me that you can access classes whatever your situation.
With this in mind I offer a range of classes to suit everyone, whether time, cost, type of birth, medical condition or something else is a factor which may stop you from booking.
If these options don't suit or if you have special circumstances please get in touch so we can discuss alternatives
